We can hardly wait to see returning students, families and caregivers!  We will all be starting JK-6 on Tuesday morning, September 3rd.  The Waterloo Region School Board is committed to keeping all our children safe.  To comply with privacy legislation, we have changed the way we communicate elementary students’ home classrooms for September.  Class list information can no longer be posted on the front of the school.  You may find out class assignments through School-Day or by coming to school the first day and talking to a staff member to find out class assignments.

On the first day, we will meet behind the school before school (moving into the gym if it is raining) where you can find teachers holding their class codes (e.g., 5/6A, K3) on yellow papers and staff will have class lists to get every student to their new class home.  If you choose to drive, please consider parking on First Street toward the skate park and walk a short distance.  Other parking will be available in the Missionary Church parking lot across from the school.  If you use this lot, please cross at the corner of Arthur and First Streets with the crossing guard.  Additional parking is available in the small lot at the park adjacent to our woodlot.  Please note that the parking area next to the tennis courts is for crossing guards and other Township users only.  The area in front of the school is for our buses only please.  To improve student safety around areas where students are concentrated, our staff lot is reserved for staff use and students who have been issued accessibility stickers from the province.

To find out the name of the teacher of your student for this year before the first day of school, please log into School-Day.  Click on the “All Students” drop-down box and select your student’s name.  Click on “School and Groups” and select “Your Classes” from the pop-out menu.  You will notice the class code (e.g., 2/3B, 4/5AF). There will be a message coming directly through School-Day with a listing of all the staff in the school and which classes they are responsible for teaching (e.g., 3/4A: D. Enns), so you can match the class code to this year’s teacher.  Thanks for your understanding as we transition to this new way of doing things.
