John Manhood Bids Farewell to Mrs. Hillman

We are sad to announce the moving of Mrs. Hillman.  She accepted a classroom position at Conestogo Public School late last week.  We wish her all the best in her new opportunity there that begins on October 11th!

Running for Toonies for Terry

We are raising funds for our Terry Fox Run that is scheduled to take place October 4th.  We are encouraging students to bring in a toonie, if they can, to help us reach our goal of $1000.

New Portable at John Mahood!

John Mahood took delivery of our latest portable on September 30th.  Once the power has been hooked up and the safety inspectors have given the green light, our new Grade 4/5 class will be moving in.

Great sales at Book Fair!

Thanks to all our families that made purchases at the Book Fair during Meet the Teacher night.  Sales reached almost $1200 and School Council realized a profit of $165.  Thanks to Council for their effort in the sale and the organization of it.

Join us for our first monthly School Council meeting Wednesday, September 14th at 7 p.m. in the John Mahood library.  We will be talking about decisions and directions that will impact the future of our students and we’d love your input.
